Let’s do a little introduction and meet the man behind the brand. Rusty Plunkett decided he was ready to stand for something greener when he created Cowboy420. Recognizing his ability to impact other’s lives by challenging stereotypes surrounding medicinal cannabis, he branded Cowboy420 to create an apparel brand a little different than the rest. 

Avid cannabis cowboys ourselves, Rusty and the Cowboy420 team wanted to create a way for our Columbia community to interact with the mission of preserving and celebrating the West and our cannabis culture. 

Every sale contributes directly to an initiative that makes positive impact to our community, agriculture, and the spirit of the wild West.

 Finding our True North

Cowboy420 makes cannabis philanthropy and indigenous land education the heart of our mission, and we do rotational donations to initiatives that are speaking to our soul. Throughout the year, we will turn our profit into the pocket of the industries, people, and the pony pals who need it. Until the month of November, we are helping provide for the American mustangs right here in the Mid-Missouri area with donating 10% of every purchase made. 

The Spirit of the West: Our Wild Friends

We’re proud to support wild horse education initiatives that focus on humane, sustainable solutions for their future. The American Mustang Project is an American mustang sanctuary that adopts horses from the Bureau of Land Management’s wild horse roundups. In an attempt to aide in relieving our wild horses from overpopulation on the plains to the holding corrals, The American Mustang Project is adopting horses from California and the surrounding state corrals.

Cowboy420 is soon offering a line of merchandise for you to get your spurs in. Stay tuned on our website for our product launch and watch your inbox for our launch email so you can get first dibs on the hats, sticker subscriptions and apparel we are releasing in the coming weeks. 

Follow our social media platforms to keep up with what we’re doing around the Columbia area- such as sponsoring rodeos, visiting cannabis expos and pop up shops near you.

Before you giddy up on out of here, let’s not forget to cook up our vegetables. We don’t want your roll to slow when all the 420 festivities wrap up. Let’s get into May’s strain of the month to keep your worries away and your mind clear as the fresh morning air. 

Northern Lights 

Popular for good reason, the strain Northern Lights is known among the cannabis community for it’s anti-anxiety effects. A hybrid Indica bred from the Thai and Afghani strains, this plant can help soothe you to sleep while managing anxiety symptoms. 

The primary terpene found in the Northern Lights is myrcene. Others include limonene and caryophyllene. This strain is high in THC content, so start slow and consume your favorite way before bed.
